I am currently including a tribute series as part of my chart where I add a song to the voting to honor the history of Country Music. I add #1 songs from the 1980s and 1990s around the anniversary of their ascent to #1 on either the Billboard or Radio & Records Charts. In addition, I add a song for the first chart of each month that honors the legacy of a Country Music Hall-of-Fame artist (this forms my Artist Tribute Series). I will add a song when a Hall-of-Fame artist passes away, and then include one of their songs in the monthly series. Occasionally, I will add a song from an artist that recently passed away and will sometimes add a second single to my monthly rotation to try to keep it going as long as possible.
On this page, I will list this year’s adds and, at the bottom, list the future songs to be added to the Artist Tribute Series
80s #1 Series for 2024
Since the songs are not always aligned between the two charts, I add them the first week they appear. Songs are bolded when they will be added. If there is not a song and artist listed in any row, that means the song from the previous row was the #1 song on that chart.
