12/24/17 Edition Results, Part 3 (Nominating Polls)

This post is designed to announce what songs from Part 3 the 12/24 Voting will be added to the Level 1 Polls (Part 2) for the chart starting with the 12/31 Voting.  I will first list what songs made it, separating them by categories, and then will give you the entire results.

Poll Winners:
There are 6 polls and the song with the most votes on each of those polls wins a spot on the Fan Voted Chart.  If two or more songs tie, all of them get a spot.

Artist/Group Song Source
Ashie Noey “Love to Burn” AUS
Hayley Jensen “Summertime Soundtrack” AUS
George Canyon “More You” CAN
Giuseppe Brai “Elena” IND
Donna Ulisse “Here Comes My Baby Back Again” RM
Deryl Dodd with Matt Hillyer “Drinkin’ ‘Bout You” TEX
Jared Blake “Don’t Let Her Be Gone” USA

Wild Cards:

I also include “Wild Cards” each week to make it to the Chart Creation. Wild Cards are songs with Weighted Scores (see below) that are at or above the 80th percentile of all the songs.

Bonus Time:
Each week, there are many songs whose three weeks in the Testing Poll are over.  However, I offer bonus time to any of these songs whose Weighted Score was at or above the median Weighted Score during their third week in the voting.

Here are the songs that earned Bonus Time from the 12/17 Testing Polls:

Artist/Group Song Source
David Adam Byrnes “All Year For” USA
Abby & Beamer “What If They’re Wrong” RM
The Infamous Stringdusters “Get Lucky” RM
Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn “On This Winding Road” RM

All other songs who were in their third week (or fourth, or fifth, etc.) are removed from the Testing Polls and will not make it onto the chart.

Full Results:
Here are the full results (sorted by Weighted Score; source winners are bolded, wild cards are italicized, bonus time songs are underlined, the songs who have “failed” the Testing Polls are struck through).  The 80th percentile this week was 159.2, while the median was 110.

Notes:
Before I add the songs to Part 2, I sort them by their Weighted Scores in order to give them a tiebreaker for as long as they are on Level 1 together.

Weighted Score = # of votes × # of songs on the poll.

KEY:
AUS = Australia
CAN = Canada
IND = IndieWorld
RM = Roots Music (Americana & Bluegrass)
TEX = Texas Regional
USA = United States

My thanks to all who voted this week and I hope you come back next week and for weeks to come!
